Safe, non-invasive and painless treatment - for the reduction of pain, inflammation and Swelling
Introducing Laser Therapy: Your Ultimate Pain Relief Solution
Unlock the power of light to alleviate your aches and injuries with laser therapy. Here's what you need to know:
-
What is Laser Therapy?
- Laser therapy employs light, typically infra-red or near-infrared, to stimulate your body's cells directly at the site of pain or injury.
- MLS Laser Therapy is a safe, non-invasive, and painless method for managing acute or chronic pain and inflammation, including arthritis or injury.
- It delivers light energy directly to your cells, stimulating your body's natural healing process and reducing pain
- How Does Laser Therapy Work?
- By targeting specific cells, such as cytochrome c oxidase, therapeutic laser increases cellular energy (ATP), enhancing tissue repair.
- The MLS laser emits two wavelengths, 808nm and 905nm, simultaneously. The 905nm wavelength, nanopulsed for safety, targets pain and inflammation, while the 808nm wavelength promotes tissue repair and regeneration.
- Laser therapy induces vasodilation, increasing oxygen and healing cells while reducing inflammation and pain transmission. It also relaxes muscles and aids in reducing swelling by clearing fluid accumulations.
-
Will Laser Therapy Hurt?
- No, laser therapy is painless and completely safe. At Therapy Station, Stoney Stanton, we use MLS®️ Laser Therapy, a non-thermal laser technology, ensuring effective yet harmless treatments.
-
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
- Laser treatment is cumulative, with each session building upon the last. The number of sessions required varies based on individual response and condition, typically ranging from 2 to 15 sessions. We recommend regular sessions to maintain and enhance treatment effects.
-
What Can I Expect?
- After an initial assessment, your clinician will tailor a treatment plan for you. During the session, you'll feel minimal sensation, if any, as the laser is applied to the affected area. Treatments usually last between 5 and 20 minutes, depending on your condition and protocol. In a lot of cases, Laser Therapy are incorporated into your normal physical therapy session.
-
Are There Any Side Effects?
- Rarely, some individuals may experience temporary increased inflammation for 24-48 hours post-treatment. This reaction indicates cellular changes and typically leads to improved pain relief afterward. Inform your clinician if you experience this, and adjustments can be made for subsequent sessions.
-
How Quickly Will It Work?
- Results are often noticeable after 1-3 sessions, with further improvement throughout the treatment course. Consistency is key, and adhering to your treatment plan alongside any additional recommendations ensures optimal results.
